An Introduction

Hello. I think it's time we get to know each other.

This blog is part of a communications project to explore an interest of mine while learning how to participate in the Web 2.0 world. I will be taking on the role of a blogger within a fictional organization seeking to keep its employees and clients on top of current events. Here it goes:
Anthony Giacco here from Saint Giacomo's General Hospital. The purpose of this blog is to muse on the possibilities that this world of fast-paced technological change brings to healthcare. How will doctors track patients? How will you keep up with your medical records? Do wait times really need to be that long for a simple visit? In a time where everyone carries a supercomputer in their pant pocket, there must be some remedy to these simple, everyday problems.
The goal is to analyze important health and tech news, relating it to the needs of health care organizations and their patients. This  blog is not the work of an expert - it is merely one person imagining some suggestions for how we can all harness the technology around us to make our lives just a little bit easier.
It was nice meeting you. Please stay tuned for weekly updates!
